Overview[edit]

This is Thaure and I made this guide tailored specifically for Milenia RO. Warlocks are known to be the third job class of Wizards and High Wizards and have been proved versatile in any angle. They are popular on crowd control support and godlike killer in any circumstances on the ground that magic classes in Milenia RO are loved. Thus, the balance still prevails under certain situations and these are expounded below via extinguishing its pros and cons.

 

PROS:

  • Crowd controlling either PvM or PvP/WoE
  • Can 1-shot either PvM or PvP/WoE
  • Master Disabler either PvM or PvP/WoE
  • Versatility at its finest
  • Capable of doing instant cast

CONS:

  • Unable to solo several high tier MVPs
  • Low base HP making you squishy
  • Most AoE skills are single target which can be reflected by Maya Card.

Warlock skills have always impressed me due to the fact that every single skills go along with status ailments which make them very popular in the game. Geokinesis[edit]

Warlocks are capable of manipulating earth element in different ways. Thus, available skills are listed below in accordance with its prerequisites on obtaining them.

Notes:

  • Stone Curse Lvl 1 is a prerequisite of Earth Spike and isrecommended to set it at Lvl 1 as it does not act useful on the ground that Sienna Execrate is an AoE version of Stone Curse.
  • Earth Spike Lvl 3 is a prerequisite of Heaven's Drive and is recommended to set it at Lvl 1 as it does not act useful in any circumstances.
  • Heaven's Drive Lvl 1 is a prerequisite of Summon Stone and is recommended to set it at Lvl 1 for it can be spammed due to global cast delay. Thus, the skill is useful to detect hidden enemies.
  • Summon Stone Lvl 1 is a prerequisite of Sienna Execrate and is recommended to set it at Lvl 1 to save more skill points.
  • Sienna Execrate Lvl 2 is a prerequisite of Earth Strain and is recommended to set it at Lvl 4 or Lvl 5 to attain the 7 x 7 Area of Effect of Petrification. It's just the 5% chance that differs between levels mentioned, thus all levels require 2 Red Gemstone.
  • Damage of earth skills is BOOSTED by Arc Elder Card. When compounded with +20 garment, damage is amplified by 60%. Thus, the combo cards do not work in Milenia RO.

 

Aerokinesis[edit]

Warlocks' capability of manipulating Wind element magics are god-like on the ground that the server offers huge damage modifiers such as Elvira Card and Gioia Card.

Notes:

  • Napalm Beat Lvl 1 is a prerequisite of Jupitel Thunder and is recommended to set it at Lvl 7 to gain access to skill Safety Wall.
  • Lightning Bolt Lvl 4 is a prerequisite of Thunderstorm and Jupitel Thunder and is recommended to set it at Lvl 4 to save more points.
  • Thunderstorm Lvl 1 is a prerequisite of Lord of Vermillion and is recommended to set it at Lvl 1 to save more points. Considered useful against cloaking enemies.
  • Jupitel Thunder Lvl 5 is a prerequisite of Lord of Vermillion and is recommended to set it at Lvl 10 due to the fact that having its damage amplified by modifiers mentioned above can 1 shot enemies. Thus, it's considered to be one of the most high DPS skill of Warlocks due to no global cast delay of the skill.
  • Lord of Vermillion Lvl 1 is a prerequisite of Summon Lightning Ball and is recommended to set it at Lvl 10. Somewhat useful in WoE as it inflicts Blind status ailment.
  • Summon Lightning Ball Lvl 1 is a prerequisite of Chain Lightning and is recommended to set it at Lvl 1 to save more points.
  • Chain Lightning Lvl 5 is a prerequisite of Tetra Vortex and is overpowered when user is under the effect of Maestro's Magic Strings.

 


Pyrokinesis[edit]

These studies have proven Warlocks to be the deadly ones due to Crimson Rock boosted by armors, accessories, and cards.

  • Sight is a prerequisite of Sightrasher and is used to detect hidden enemies.
  • Lightning Bolt Lvl 4 is a prerequisite of Thunderstorm.
  • Thunderstorm Lvl 1 is a prerequisite of Meteor Storm.
  • 'Sightrasher 'Lvl 2 is a prerequisite of Meteor Storm and is recommended to set it at Lvl 10 to deal more damage with an 8 cells knockback effect within 15 x 15 area.
  • Meteor Storm Lvl 1 is a prerequisite of Summon Fire Ball and is recommended to set it at Lvl 10 as it deals high damage when user is under the effect of Magic Strings.
  • 'Summon Fire Ball 'Lvl 1 is a prerequisite of Crimson Rock and is recommended to set it at Lvl 1 to save more points.
  • Crimson Rock is recommended to set it at Lvl 5 as it deals massive damage with a base damage of 1,500% at level 5; Its 5 seconds cooldown is decreased by 3 seconds when user wears +20 RTENOTITLE Old Magic Stone Hat [1]. Damage is boosted by RTENOTITLE Hero Magic Coat at 10%, RTENOTITLE Nightmare Ancient Mummy Card at 60% when compounded with +20 garment, and RTENOTITLE Alchemy Glove [1] at 10%.

  • Recognized Spell is recommended at Lvl 5 on the ground that the buff itself gives Warlocks the ability to deal maximized damage of all skills omitting minimum MATK on damage calculation.

Stats[edit]

Stats are the six fundamental character statistics that make (or break) a character. Stats start out with a base value of 1 and can be raised as far as 99. Third job characters can increase stats up to 120. Base stats are increased by spending stat points, higher stats costing more to raise (particularly for base stats beyond 100). Stat points are gained with base level increases, the amount increasing with higher levels.

These contents are from iRO. Thus, I omitted some unnecessary details to give you brief ideas how stats work and emphasize by having them in formats bold and italic.

 

STR[edit]

Strength: This stat affects the "melee" physical power of the character, allowing it to deal damage even if no weapons are equipped if a sufficient amount of STR is invested. The STR value is also multiplied to the Weapon ATK value for even more damage increase.

AGI[edit]

Agility: This stat affects the speed of the character in many aspects, allowing it to attack faster and dodge attacks more often.

Every 5 points of AGI provide:

The actual ASPD calculation depends on AGI, DEX, ASPD Potions and skills, the type of equipped weapon, and current job class. It can take between 1 and 20 AGI to increase ASPD by 1. More details can be found in the entry for ASPD discussion.

VIT[edit]

Vitality: This stat affects the endurance, HP, and restorative power of the character, allowing it to last longer against monsters and to regain more life with healing items.

Every point of VIT provides:

  • Max HP +1%
  • Healing Items effectiveness +2% (HP)
  • Resistance vs. the following Status Effects:
    • Stun: -1% chance from being inflicted, decreases duration (exact value unknown)
    • Poison: -1% chance from being inflicted, decreases duration (exact value unknown)
    • Deadly Poison: -1% chance from being inflicted, decreases duration (exact value unknown)
    • Burning: reduces chance from being inflicted, decreases duration by 0.1s.
    • Freezing: reduces chance from being inflicted, decreases duration by 0.1s.
    • Mode Cold: reduces chance from being inflicted, decreases duration by 0.1s.

Intelligence: This stat affects the mental power of the character, allowing to deal magic damage even if no weapons are equipped if a sufficient amount of INT is invested.

Dexterity: This stat affects the accuracy (HIT) of the character in many aspects, allowing it to land hits easier, among other things. It is also the primary stat for "ranged" physical power, and the primary stat for decreasing cast time.

Luck: This stat affects the fortune of the character in some aspects, allowing it to deal Critical hits more often, luckily dodging enemy attacks more often, among several other small bonuses.

RTENOTITLE Thorn Staff of Darkness                    
  • MATK + 160, INT + 3, DEX + 3.
    Each refine adds magic defense bypassing to your magic attacks.
    Each refine reduces the aftercast delay of your skills.
  • Requires Lvl 75+.
  • Obtainable via Endless Tower (6 days cooldown) and Endless Cellar (4 hours cooldown).
  • Most overpowered rod in the game.
  • Can be enchanted at Malangdo. See Malangdo Enchants.
  • Best equipped with RTENOTITLE Skull Cap [1] as it gives +10 additional MATK each refine.
